Ministry of Education and Training Eswatini Announces 2026 School Calendar

The Ministry of Education and Training extends its sincere appreciation to the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) for its ongoing collaboration in ensuring the smooth running of schools and the delivery of quality education across the Kingdom of Eswatini. Following the Ministry’s submission to Cabinet seeking approval of the school calendar for the year 2026, Cabinet, through Cabinet Paper Number: CPN/MOET/160/2025, approved the official school calendar in preparation for the forthcoming academic year. This approval provides clarity for schools, teachers, students, and parents to plan effectively for teaching, learning, and extracurricular activities.

Opens: 20th January 2026
Closes: 10th April 2026

Second Term
Opens: 5th May 2026
Mid-Term Break: 26th – 29th June 2026
Closes: 7th August 2026

Third Term
Opens: 9th September 2026
Closes: 11th December 2026

Schools are required to strictly adhere to the approved calendar. The Ministry emphasizes that the school calendar must be used for planning academic programmes, examinations, extracurricular activities, and school holidays.
