In responds to the claim of the first lady of Nigeria , Aisha Buhari ,stating their wasn't any significant impact of the social investment program on the people, most especially in the north.
The special adviser to the President on social investment programs ,Madam Maryam Uwais has buffeted this claim. Speaking in an interview with channels TV,she said.
I believe that if the first lady were to listen to the information that is out there, and check our data, she will be able to track all our beneficiaries. We have over 11,000 graduates for Npower, that had been recruited and working in every local government at her home state Adamawa
We have the non graduates program also about 440 and we started the school feeding program in October 2018 where we are feeing pupils in 1054 public primary schools. We have only scratched the surface in the sense that we don't have sufficient funding.
We have by our own data at least 4.2 million indigenes of Adamawa state and if we have engaged 300,000 I believe we can do so much more if we have sufficient funding.
Yes,the first lady may not have met these beneficiaries, but we are there. We are in 4 local government for the cash transfer programme, where we give 5 thousand naira to the poorest on monthly basis. We are also in 12 local government for the tradermoni money program.
That, we have at least 290,000 thousand beneficiaries that we are paying directly in Adamawa state.
