The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education Gambia hereby invites applications from Qualified Teachers and Graduate Teachers to fill teaching positions across all regions.
This recruitment exercise forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to strengthen the education workforce and ensure equitable deployment of qualified teachers across all regions.
This year’s graduate recruitment targets in-service Qualified Teachers (QTs) currently completing their studies at The University and expected to graduate in 2026. These individuals have been fully catered for in the Ministry’s budget, and upon graduation, their status will be regularised as Graduate Teachers.
SECTION A: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

You must never have been previously appointed as a government civil servant teacher.
Academic Requirements
WASSCE Holders or equivalent (Arabic and French): Minimum of 3 credits, including English Language.
Diploma Holders: You must have sat for and passed the compulsory competency examination. Only those certified are eligible to apply.
