  About Botswana Examinations Council (BEC)

The Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) is the official body responsible for administering national and international examinations in Botswana. BEC ensures that both school-based and private candidates receive fair and standardized assessment in line with international standards, including Cambridge University Press & Assessment examinations.

Private candidates are students who are not enrolled in formal school programs but wish to sit for external examinations such as IGCSE, GCE O Level, or AS/A Level.

• A late entry penalty fee of P91,000 per syllabus applies during this period
