Overview

The TotalEnergies EP Uganda Local Education Scholarship supports talented students from Buliisa, Nwoya, Masindi and Pakwach districts. The programme offers up to 30 full scholarships for A Level studies in Science subjects. Successful applicants study at selected partner schools known for strong performance in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The goal is to help bright students with financial need continue their education and pursue future study paths in technical and scientific fields.

Who the scholarship supports

The scholarship targets students who plan to complete the Uganda Certificate of Education in 2025 from schools within Buliisa, Nwoya, Masindi or Pakwach. The support is designed for girls and boys who show strong academic ability, strong grades in Science subjects, and strong discipline. The award focuses on learners with financial need who face challenges continuing to A Level without external support.

Partner schools

Selected scholars attend one of the following partner institutions. These schools provide a strong science learning environment.

• Kings College Buddo
• Namilyango College
• St Mary’s College Kisubi
• Seeta High School
• Gayaza High School
• Trinity College Nabbingo

Selection criteria

You must meet the conditions below to be considered.

• Ugandan student from Buliisa, Nwoya, Masindi or Pakwach
• Completed UCE exams in 2025 within one of the listed districts
• Strong grades in Science subjects
• Studied in one of the listed districts for at least two years
• Good written and spoken English
• Demonstrated financial need, confirmed through a vulnerability check

Required documents

Prepare the documents below before you pick up the application form.

• Recommendation letter from the District Education Officer
• Recommendation letter from the Head Teacher of your former school
• Recommendation letter from your Local Council 1 leader
• Copy of your birth certificate

How to apply

Pick up the official application form from the District Education Office in Buliisa, Nwoya, Masindi or Pakwach. Fill the form with accurate details and attach all required documents. Place the completed form in a sealed envelope. Write your full legal names clearly on the envelope to avoid mistakes. Forms with incorrect details or wrong index numbers will be rejected. Submit the completed envelope to the same District Education Office.

Key dates

Applications open on 1 November 2025. The deadline for submission is 31 December 2025. Late submissions are not reviewed.
