TEVETA Zambia Opens Student Portal for Evelyn Hone College April/May 2026 Examinations Registration

TEVETA Zambia Opens Student Portal for Evelyn Hone College April/May 2026 Examinations RegistrationTeveta Zambia wish to inform the public that we are aware of the situation that affected some students at Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce who were unable to sit for the November/December 2025 examinations. This unfortunate situation arose due to technical and administrative challenges at the college, which resulted in some students not being registered on the Learner Data Management System (LDMS), which is the official national platform for student examination registration. Because these students were not registered on the LDMS, their names did not reflect in official examination registers and examination entry slips (dockets) were not generated by the LDMS for them. Consequently, they could not be admitted into examination rooms.

To remedy the situation, the TEVETA Board authorised the opening of the LDMS earlier than scheduled to allow the college to register the affected students for the April/May 2026 examination session. The decision to administer a special examination for the affected candidates in April/May 2026 was arrived at after engagements with the affected students, student union representatives and the college management. These students will sit for the examinations at no extra cost to them.

We urge the college to fully register all affected students for eligibility for the April/May 2026 examination session. The college is also reminded to upload Continuous Assessments (CAs) for the affected students in a timely manner to support the smooth processing of their results.

We wish to clarify that the affected students were registered on the college system known as Study Master and NOT on the Learner Data Management System. While institutional systems support internal administration needs, they do not constitute registration for national TEVET examinations. Only students who are registered on the LDMS are eligible for TEVET examinations.

TEVETA Director General Cleophas Takaiza said the authority only recognises students registered on the LDMS as eligible to sit for examinations. Mr. Takaiza said TEVETA is taking extra care to ensure that affected students are not disadvantaged, and examination integrity is maintained. He further said opening the LDMS before the 2026 academic year is meant to facilitate timely registration of the affected students by the college for them to be eligible to sit for the April/May 2026 examination.

“The LDMS is the official system that students must be registered for them to be eligible to sit for examinations and TEVET assessments. Institutional systems used to register students are for administrative convenience and do not guarantee registration for examinations with the Authority.”

Candidates registered on the LDMS are able to view their registration statuses, see the subjects they are eligible to sit for in an examination session and view their other particulars before the actual examination dates. The LDMS generates examination registers and examination entry slips (dockets) for duly registered candidates. Each training institution has access rights to print the examination registers and dockets for their candidates for each examination session”. Mr. Takaiza said.

“It is unfortunate that some students from Evelyn Hone College failed to sit for their examinations due to non-registration on the LDMS. We are hopeful that the college will quickly register them to enable us to prepare examination papers and other logistics for those candidates to sit for their examinations in April/May 2026. We depend on biodata on the LDMS to plan for examination and assessment processes,” Mr Takaiza said.

We further call upon the affected students to ensure they are duly registered on the LDMS, their CAs are uploaded and their particulars are correct to avoid any other further inconveniences in sitting for the coming examination and assessment in April/May 2026.

We would like to assure the affected students that everything will be put in place for them to sit for examinations during the April/May 2026 session.

The LDMS will remain open until 7th March 2026 to allow other training institutions to enroll and register their students on the LDMS as colleges open next year.
