The University of Cape Coast has released the official timetable for the 58th Congregation. The ceremonies will run from Monday 15 December to Saturday 20 December 2025. Graduating students, families and invited guests are encouraged to review the full schedule, confirm their session and prepare for the academic activities planned across the five day programme.
The congregation opens with an exhibition day on Monday 15 December at the Sam Jonah Library forecourt. The exhibition runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Colleges, directorates, faculties and schools will display academic outputs, research work and innovations. This open day gives visitors a chance to explore various departments and learn how each unit contributes to teaching, research and community engagement.
Formal graduation sessions begin on Tuesday 16 December. The first and second sessions are dedicated to the College of Distance Education. The morning session at 9:00 AM will feature graduates from centres in Northern, Upper West, Bono, Upper East, North East, Aharo, Bono East and Savannah regions. The afternoon session at 1:00 PM will feature graduates from Ashanti and Eastern centres. All students from these regions should confirm their category and follow the reporting time.
The congregation continues on Wednesday 17 December with the third and fourth sessions, still for the College of Distance Education. The 9:00 AM session will host graduating students from Greater Accra, Volta and Oti. The 1:00 PM session will feature Central, Western and Western North. These sessions complete the distance education graduation activities.
Thursday 18 December is reserved for two major colleges. The morning session from 9:00 AM is for the College of Education Studies. Graduates from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Education, the Faculty of Educational Foundations, the Faculty of Science and Technology Education and the Institute of Education will take part. This includes students from the three and five semester sandwich programmes. The afternoon session at 1:00 PM is for the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences. Graduates from the School of Agriculture, the School of Biological Sciences and the School of Physical Sciences will be presented.
Friday 19 December will host the seventh and eighth sessions. The morning session is for the College of Health and Allied Sciences. It includes graduates from the School of Allied Health Sciences, the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the School of Medical Sciences, the School of Optometry and Vision Science and all affiliated nursing and midwifery institutions. The afternoon session is for the College of Humanities and Legal Studies, featuring graduates from the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the School of Business, the Faculty of Law and the School of Economics.
The final session takes place on Saturday 20 December at 10:00 AM. This ninth session is exclusively for the School of Graduate Studies. All postgraduate students must report early and bring any required documentation as communicated by their departments.
Graduating students must pay a graduation fee of GHS 580.00. The fee is stated as non refundable. Payments are accepted at Prudential Bank and National Investment Bank. At Prudential Bank, the account name is UCC Congregation Accounts and the account number is 0201900240018. At National Investment Bank, the account name is UCC Admissions Accounts and the account number is 1111015346201. Students should keep proof of payment for verification.
All sessions will take place at the New Examination Centre. Graduates should arrive ahead of the starting time to complete seating arrangements and confirmation checks. The university advises students to follow official communication channels to avoid misinformation and to stay updated on any changes.
Family members and invited guests should also plan ahead for parking, security screening and seating rules. Congregation guidelines may include restrictions on movement within the hall during certificate presentation. Photography rules and media access protocols will be communicated by the university.
