Uganda Police Force Soon to Release Final List for Election SPC Recruitment 2025

Uganda Police Recruitment Latest News today - The Uganda Police Force (UPF) will soon release the list of shortlisted candidates for the recruitment of Election Special Police Constables (SPCs). This recruitment drive aims to hire 100,000 SPCs on a three-month contractual basis to support security during the upcoming elections. Successful candidates will serve in their respective home districts and must undergo one month of training before deployment.

The UPF emphasizes that the recruitment process is free, transparent, and strictly regulated. Candidates are warned against impersonation, submission of forged documents, or payment of bribes, as these actions will attract serious legal consequences.

Beware of Impersonators and Scams

The Uganda Police Force warns applicants to be vigilant against fraudsters and conmen. Recently, on 25th October 2025, police in Kasambya Cell, Kyotera Town Council, received reports of a man impersonating the District Police Commander (DPC), charging UGX 50,000 per application.

Police responded promptly, arresting the suspect (Amwine Mike) and recovering critical exhibits. The UPF reiterates that all recruitment is free, and anyone attempting to solicit bribes or mislead applicants will face legal action.

Shortlisting and Deployment

Following the application review, the Uganda Police Force will publish a list of shortlisted candidates. Selected candidates will be notified and required to undergo one month of training before being deployed to their home districts.

Training will cover essential areas including:

  • Police operational procedures
  • Election security protocols
  • Physical fitness and self-discipline
  • Community engagement and communication skills

This ensures that all SPCs are prepared to support peaceful and secure elections.

Contact and Verification

For inquiries or verification, applicants should contact their local police stations or check official UPF platforms:

  • Uganda Police Force website
  • Social media channels: Official UPF Facebook and Twitter accounts
  • District Police headquarters: For local application submission and verification

The UPF encourages all applicants to follow official channels only and report any suspicious activity immediately.
