QGroup Foundation UTG Scholarship for STEM Students 2025/2026 In Gambia (Fully Funded)


It’s that time of the year again! If you are a high school graduate in The Gambia looking for an opportunity to study STEM fields at the University of The Gambia (UTG) without worrying about tuition fees, the QGroup Foundation Scholarship is now open for applications. In collaboration with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE), the foundation is offering 20 fully funded scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This scholarship is designed to support high-achieving students from low socio-economic backgrounds across the seven educational regions of The Gambia. The focus is on students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and contribute positively to national development.

Eligible STEM Programmes

Applicants must have secured admission to one of the following UTG STEM programmes:

  • Computer Science

  • Planning and Design

  • Information Systems

  • Physics

  • Mathematics

  • Biology

  • Data Science

  • Chemistry

Applications for other disciplines will not be considered.

Scholarship Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a Gambian citizen

  • Have completed Grade 12 WASSCE or IGCSE examinations

  • Hold an acceptance letter for a Bachelor’s degree at UTG in one of the eligible STEM disciplines

  • Demonstrate financial need

  • Not currently be enrolled at UTG

Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
