The Ministry of Labour, Skills and Innovation in Malawi has released the July 2025 TEVET examination results. The update outlines performance across Levels 1 to 4, including pass rates for male and female candidates and the number of distinctions, credits and bare passes. All results have been delivered to participating technical colleges, and candidates should collect them through their institutions. The Ministry has opened a window for queries within the stated deadline. Candidates who did not pass are encouraged to review the feedback and prepare for the next examination session.
Level 1 Results
Out of 798 candidates who sat for Level 1 examinations, 470 candidates passed representing a 59% pass rate. Out of 558 male candidates who sat for these examinations, 324 passed representing a 58% pass rate among males. Out of 240 female candidates who sat for these examinations, 146 passed representing a 61% pass rate among females. A total of 2 (0.3%) candidates passed with distinction, a total of 61 (7.6%) candidates passed with credit, a total of 407 (51.0%) candidates passed with bare pass and a total of 328 (41.1%) candidates failed.

Level 2 Results
Out of 496 candidates who sat for Level 2 examinations, 310 candidates passed representing an 63% pass rate. Out of 357 male candidates who sat for these examinations, 218 passed representing a 61% pass rate among males. Out of 139 female candidates who sat for these examinations, 92 passed representing a 66% pass rate among females.
For this Level 2, only 1 (0.2%) candidate passed with distinction, a total of 40 (8.1%) candidates passed with credit, a total of 269 (54.2%) candidates passed with bare pass and a total of 186 (37%) candidates failed.
Level 3 Results
Out of 2488 candidates who sat for Level 3 examinations, 1991 candidates passed representing an 80% pass rate. Out of 1681 male candidates who sat for these examinations, 1340 passed representing an 80% pass rate among males. Out of 807 female candidates who sat for these examinations, 651 candidates passed representing an 81% pass rate among females. A total of 12 (0.5%) candidates passed with distinction, a total of 400 (16.0%) candidates passed with credit, a total of 1579 (63.5%) candidates passed with bare pass and a total of 497 (20.0%) candidates failed.
Level 4 Results
Out of 14 candidates who sat for Level 4 examinations (Diploma), 10 candidates passed representing a 71% pass rate. All candidates were male. In level 4, no candidate passed with distinction, only 1 (7%) candidate passed with credit, a total of 9 (64%) candidates passed with bare pass and a total of 4 (29%) candidates failed.
The results have been dispatched to technical colleges that administered these examinations and candidates are requested to enquire about results through their respective colleges only. Receiving of queries regarding these results shall close on 19th December 2025. No query shall be received beyond this date.
Candidates who have not passed these examinations are encouraged to retake the failed papers in the forthcoming July 2026 examination series. Candidates are not allowed to proceed in taking a higher level examination before passing the lower level examination.
