LUANAR Announces 9th Congregation for 2024/25 Graduates

The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) will celebrate its 9th Congregation for the 2024/25 academic year on Thursday, 20th November 2025. The ceremony will take place in two sessions at Bunda College’s PIL Multipurpose Hall, starting at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and will be presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Emmanuel Kaunda.

COLLECTION OF ACADEMIC DRESS

• DATE: 17th and 18th November 2025
• VENUE: Gowns to be collected at your respective campuses.
• TIME: from 9:00 am

REHEARSALS

•  DATE: 19th November 2025 – 8am (Session 1) 
• DATE: 19th November 2025 – 1pm (Session 2) 
• VENUE: Bunda College Campus, PIL Multipurpose Hall

Candidates are required to come in their graduation attire and are asked to be punctual. Only

those candidates that attend dress rehearsals shall be allowed to graduate.

Fees for this graduation are as follows:

• Certificate MK60 000
• Diploma MK80 000
• Degree MK80 000
• Masters MK120 000
• PhD MK190 000

All candidates shall be required to immediately return their academic dress at the end of the

function. Any unreturned academic dress shall attract a penalty fee of K50 000.00 for the first

day of delay and K25 000.00 for each subsequent day of delay payable before the release of the

certificate.

All candidates are strictly required to deposit the Graduation fee into the following Bank

Candidates are expected to produce evidence of payment in form of Bank slip at their

respective campuses for gown collection.

Candidates who owe the University money or have outstanding issues with the University

shall not be allowed to graduate.

PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES AND OTHER BUSINESSES 

The University provides dedicated areas for individuals who wish to provide photography

services or conduct other businesses during dress rehearsals and graduation day. There is a

fee associated with these services, and all photographers and business owners must submit

the specified fee to the previously mentioned designated account. Once the payment is

made, the Accounts department will issue a receipt, which will serve as a valid business

license for the entire event

The fees are as follows:

Photography

Outside the Hall with a photography stall : MK35,000

Outside the Hall without a photography stall : MK25,000

Other Businesses

Outside the Hall : MK20,000

Small businesses within the campus : MK5,000
