Catholic University of Malawi Announces 2026 Entrance Exam Details


The Catholic University of Malawi has released key details for the 2026 University Entrance Examinations. Scheduled for Saturday, 22nd November, 2025, the exams will take place at the Montfort Main Campus in Nguludi, St. Johns Secondary School in Lilongwe, and Marymount Catholic Girls Secondary School in Mzuzu. This announcement outlines eligibility requirements, necessary documents, payment instructions, and the activities planned for examination day, ensuring all prospective students are fully prepared.

ELIGIBILITY

(a) Catholic University of Malawi Entrance Examinations 2026 are open to all who meet the minimum entry qualification, which is Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, with credit passes in six subjects including English. The aggregate score in the best six subjects must not exceed thirty (30) points.

(b) Those who did not submit application forms but meet the minimum entry qualifications are also encouraged to report at the centre with the following:

  • Two recent passport size photographs.

  • Original copy of certificate or notification of results slip.

  • Deposit slip worth K25,000 deposited into one of the following bank accounts:

EXAMINATION PAPERS

The following papers will be administered during the entrance examination:

  1. Reasoning Skills

  2. Numerical Skills

  3. English and Communication Skills

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are asked to bring the following items on the day of registration and examination:

  1. Original copies of their MSCE/IGCSE certificate or MANEB notification of results slip

  2. One recent passport size photograph.

  3. Writing materials (pen, pencil and rubber).

FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION

Please note that candidates for entrance examinations will have to cater for themselves.
Accommodation will be available at a fee of K5000 per night for those who will register and write the entrance examinations at the main campus, Montfort-Nguludi.

NB. Those who applied using “A” Level or other post-secondary come to the Examination Centres.
