CDCFIB Recruitment 2025 - Shortlisted Applicants to Select Screening Venues

The Nigeria Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has released an important update on the progress of its ongoing recruitment process. The Board announced that preparations are in progress for the next stage of the exercise, which involves physical screening and document verification. This stage follows the completion of earlier assessments and will determine the final pool of qualified applicants who will move toward possible placement within the relevant services.

The Board stated that applicants who performed well in the earlier stages have been shortlisted based on merit. You are expected to check your status and select your screening venue and date through the official portal. The portal will open from Monday 1 December to Wednesday 3 December 2025, and you need to complete your selection within this window. The website address for this step is recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. Your venue and date selection will help the Board plan the verification process in each state.

The Board stressed that all official communication for this recruitment exercise will take place through the portal. You are advised to avoid responding to messages from unofficial sources. This guidance protects you from misinformation and fraud which often increases during national recruitment processes. Communication through email, social media or individuals claiming to represent the Board should be ignored.

The physical screening and document verification exercise will hold from Monday 8 December to Friday 12 December 2025. The exercise will take place in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, and every shortlisted applicant is expected to attend at the venue selected during the portal update period. Attendance is important because the Board will verify identity, documents and fitness. You need to arrive with original copies and photocopies of your educational certificates, birth certificate or age declaration, means of identification and other documents stated in the portal instructions.

The Board congratulated all applicants who reached this stage of the recruitment exercise. It noted that the selection process followed the Federal Character principle and considered the manpower needs of each of the services under its mandate. This includes the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigeria Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service and the Nigeria Immigration Service. The Federal Character principle aims to ensure fair representation across regions, and the Board’s statement reaffirms that the process followed this requirement.

This update reassures applicants and the general public of the integrity of the recruitment process. The Board's reminder about using the official portal supports transparency. Shortlisted applicants receive equal access to information in one place, which improves order during national recruitment activities.

Applicants are encouraged to prepare ahead of the physical screening stage. Review your documents early to avoid delays at the venue. Keep your portal login details safe, and check the portal frequently for updates. Follow the instructions for venue selection once the scheduling window opens. Travel plans should be made early, especially if your chosen venue is outside your current location.

The Board’s notice also reminds applicants of the importance of verifying information before taking action. Many applicants lose opportunities due to wrong instructions from unofficial sources. Using only the recruitment portal helps you avoid this problem.

The release was signed by AM Jibril, Maj Gen (Rtd), who serves as Secretary to the Board. The announcement was issued on 27 November 2025.
