Youthpreneur Business Summit 2017 Nigeria

The annual YOUTHPRENEUR BUSINESS SUMMIT (YBS) brings together innovative and ambitious youths to inspire and challenge one other in entrepreneurial approaches to the Nigerian economy. The summit focuses on learning, sharing ideas and mentoring for young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 years. YBS aims to enhance enterprise development in Nigeria. We hope to impact 8,000 businesses through mentoring, partnerships, capacity development and funding by 2025. The maiden edition of Youthpreneur Business Summit held on August 16th, 2016 with the theme: ‘Passion to Wealth: Road to Economic Diversification’. Director-General, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mr. Muda Yusuf as the Keynote Speaker.
Youthpreneur Business Development Network (YBDN) is a non-profit organization established in 2016 to empower youth-owned businesses for accelerated growth. YBDN was established to enhance the contribution of youths to economic development. Failure to apply pragmatic strategies to tackling youth unemployment has contributed to Nigeria’s poor economic performance as most young people have been denied the ability to meaningfully contribute to the country’s overall productivity. Entrepreneurship has been identified as a solution to youth unemployment in the country.

YBDN is creating opportunities for youth-owned businesses to grow; connecting them viable resources, funding opportunities, and mentors. We are passionately pursuing our vision of impacting 10,000 businesses by 2025 through mentoring, partnerships, capacity development, and funding. Through our various programs, we have been creating a community for entrepreneurship engagement among Nigerian youths aged between 18 and 40.
