Npower volunteers
Npower Lagos performs induction ceremony. The Npower beneficiaries in Lagos State under the teachers corps formally received by Lagos State government through the deputy governor of Lagos State Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule. A one day induction course which was held at the Blue Roof LTV 8, Ikeja witnesses many dignitaries from Lagos civil service.Among the dignitaries present are the deputy Governor of Lagos State Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule. The chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Ganiyu Shope
yin. the permanent Secretary (Education), Mr. Adesina Odeyemi and others.
Addressing the beneficiaries, the deputy governor admonished the N-power teachers corps to be of best conduct and obey the public service rules. She also counsel the beneficiaries to make best of the opportunity given them by the federal government. She advised those who may later find better job opportunity to exit the program accordingly with proper notification. She gave reasons why the program did not start in Lagos by December when some States have already started. She said the delay was to prepare the ground and make the program a huge success in Lagos state.
The induction course was anchored by great facilitators. They are Mrs. Ogunaike F.O the permanent secretary ministry of Establishment, Dr. (Mrs.) Yinka Ayandele the permanent of Education Distrist 1, Mrs. Olubunmi Fabanwa the former DG (PSSDC) and the host of others.
The speakers introduced to the teachers corps the ethics of teaching professions, how relate with their students and the best ways to transfer knowledge to their students or pupils as the case may be. They employed the teachers to be trustworthy and have integrity. One of the speakers cautioned teachers about sexual harassment, warned teachers that Lagos state has zero tolerant for sexual harassment.
