The Household Uplifting Programme which is one of the four National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIP) of the Buhari Administration targeted at giving the  poor and vulnerable #5,000.00 Monthly has since 2016 disbursed N10 billion to no fewer than 300,000 beneficiaries through its Conditional Cash Transfer Programme.

The Federal Government Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Programme for poor and vulnerable households has been in operation before the idea of using Abacha restitute funds to pay poor and vulnerable Nigerians. So far, the programme has been a massive success by improving  lives.


However not all states are included, some states are currently building their Social Register, while others are setting up offices etc. It is expected that by the close of December 2018, there would be Social Registers in every State around the country, and cash transfer beneficiaries beyond the initial target of 1 million households, receiving the stipends around the country.

Good news, CCT is now welcoming Abia,Bayelsa,Imo,Anambra, Kebbi, Zamfara and Sokoto state into its Conditional cash transfer programme with Orientation and implementation workshop ongoing at Lokoja,kogi state.Other states already benefiting are Kogi, Kano, Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, Jigawa, Anambra, Niger, Osun, Oyo, Taraba, Adamawa, Nassarawa, Cross River, Katsina, Kano, Gombe, Ekiti and Kwara state respectively
