It Takes A Village in Ilesa East, Osun State (photos)

At the beginning of August, we began a campaign titled #ItTakesAVillage. It is basically a campaign that encourages existing N-Power beneficiaries to do something for their community as a group weekly or as often as they’d like

A gentleman volunteer, Ayodimeji reached out to us to tell us the story of how he and 37 others were teaching free summer classes to 700 students in 3 secondary schools in Ilesa East.

We were very excited at the committment of the volunteers and had one of our officials, Kabir Aregbesola visit the schools on behalf of the SSA on Job Creation to the President, Afolabi Imoukhuede.

Kabir had nothing but glowing reports on the effort made by the volunteers in their communities. He says the multiplier effect of their selfless action will be will be felt in the schools and in the grades of the students.

Ayodimeji and other volunteers from Ilesa East have taken the #ItTakesAVillage campaign and made it theirs. They have demonstrated the N-Power spirit of charity and kindness.

We are proud of each and everyone who took out of their time to teach free summer classes in their communities.
