Some time,the selection email was filled up and the Npvn with other support centers is not as responsive as it should be,so the best way was for the focal persons for each state to come up with the corrections and list of updated Npowerite details.Still,a lot of unpaid npowerites have failed to show up for such corrections.
In Bayelsa,about 600 Npowerites names with irregularities in their details was sent to the state,but the state told Npower that npowerites with issues was more than the figure received,they were 984.What this means is that their could be others that their names weren't sent ,yet have issues and this could be an example of whats happening in other states.
In all these,Bayelsa state has the lowest of all Npower issues compared to all other states which has thousands of unpaid Npowerites.
ABOUT THE FORFEITED STIPENDS
A lot of npowerites would have to forfeit their stipends on grounds that they were not deployed on the said month.What this means is that Npowerites are paid from the month they were deployed.Below is a tweet from Pastor Laolu Akande.
Its very sad that after all the stress we passed through at the time of verification, we would still have to forfeit our stipends.This is totally not right,we (Npowerites) were out on time but all verification centers told us they knew nothing about Npower or its verification/documentation.Why then do we have to pay for the laxity caused by Npower staffs at the state level.
Reacting to the issue of forfeiting our stipend,we visited the focal person for Bayelsa state,she made it clear to us that such instruction came directly from Abuja and that on the last visit of the S.A to the President on Social Protection Plan,Mrs Maryam Uwais said npower volunteers will be paid from the month they were deployed.
Our focal person further explained,we were almost through with verification during December period and was ready to submit the manual list compiled but NOA had to sign and that too delayed us.Then there came a message from Abuja,that the list should be digitalised and not the normal manual form we had done.It was getting to christmass and our staffs were set for holidays,so it was impossible to finish up.We were then told to include NOA and NYSC to help speed the proccess,which we did but that also took a lot of time,the reason Bayelsans weren't deployed at the time.

I implore all beneficiaries from Bayelsa,Lagos and other states that would have to forfeit their stipend to put presure on the Government. It was never our fault,.If the programe is for 24 months we deserve our due payment.As npowerites we know alot of our colleagues were paid without been deployed.
