UKZN 2026 Firm Offers & Undergraduate Registration Guide



The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) has begun sending SMS notifications to prospective students who have received firm offers for first-time entry into undergraduate programmes for 2026. These notifications will be released in batches over several days until all available places are filled.

Applicants are reminded that firm offers are valid for 72 hours (three days). Any offer not accepted within this period will lapse and be reallocated to other eligible candidates. Importantly, no fee payment is required to accept a firm offer, making it straightforward for students to secure their placement.

2026 Registration Opening Dates

Remote Online Registration allows students to complete their registration digitally, offering convenience and flexibility. Key dates are:

  • Returning Students: Registration opened on 6 January 2026.

  • First-Time Entering Undergraduate Students: Registration is open from 2 to 7 February 2026.

Prospective students are advised to complete registration promptly to secure their place, as the system will close once the registration window ends.

Firm Offer Release Timeline

The University of KwaZulu-Natal will officially issue firm offers from 14 February 2026 onwards. Offers will be sent via SMS and email. Applicants must carefully follow the instructions in the notification to accept the offer within the 72-hour validity period.
