MANEB Opens Final Query Submission Window for 2026 National Examinations

MANEB official notice to examination centres on final 2026 registration query submission deadline

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) wishes to formally notify all registered examination centres across the nation regarding the recently concluded registration process for the 2026 national examinations. As previously communicated, the official window for the registration of candidates for the 2026 examinations was closed on 15th December, 2025. This deadline was established to allow adequate time for the meticulous processing, verification, and administrative preparation necessary to ensure the integrity and smooth execution of the upcoming examination cycle.

MANEB recognizes that, despite rigorous procedures, there may be exceptional circumstances or genuine administrative oversights that could have occurred at the centre level during the registration period. Such issues might include, but are not limited to, discrepancies in candidate biodata, missing subject entries, incorrect candidate photographs, or technical submission errors that could affect a candidate's eligibility or examination seating.

Therefore, the Board is providing a final, strictly limited opportunity for Examination Centres to formally seek resolution for any legitimate registration anomalies. Examination Centre Heads, Registrars, or designated examination officers who have identified bona fide queries or discrepancies in their submitted candidate registrations are hereby advised and instructed to formally submit a detailed report of these issues to MANEB for official review and potential remediation.

It is imperative to note that this is a query resolution window, not a re-opening of the general registration process. The submission of queries is strictly for the correction of verifiable errors that occurred within the original registration timeline.

Submission Guidelines and Deadline:

All queries must be consolidated by the Examination Centre and submitted to the MANEB headquarters no later than 4th January 2026. This deadline is absolute and will not be extended to ensure the Board's administrative schedule remains intact.

The sole and mandatory method for submission is via official email. All queries must be sent to: executivedirector@maneb.edu.mw. Submissions through any other channel, including physical delivery, postal mail, or phone calls, will not be accepted or acknowledged. The use of this designated email ensures proper tracking, logging, and timely attention to each query.

Requirements for Query Submission:

Examination centres are strongly encouraged to ensure that all submissions are precise, professional, and comprehensive to facilitate swift processing. Each query email should:

  1. Clearly state the name and code of the Examination Centre in the email subject line (e.g., "Registration Query - [Centre Name], Code: [Centre Code]").

  2. Provide a detailed list of specific queries, citing the affected candidate names, registration numbers, and a clear description of the issue encountered.

  3. Attach any supporting documentary evidence (scanned copies) that can validate the claim, where applicable.

  4. Be sent from an official institutional email address associated with the examination centre to confirm authenticity.

MANEB will review each submitted case on its own merits. Centres will be contacted directly regarding the outcome of their query. It is the responsibility of the centre authorities to ensure that all queries are clearly stated and submitted within this specified, narrow timeframe.

The Board anticipates the full cooperation of all examination centres in adhering to these directives. This controlled process is crucial for upholding the standards of fairness and administrative excellence that MANEB is committed to maintaining. Your diligent cooperation in this critical final stage of the 2026 examination registration process is highly appreciated and essential for its success.

Sincerely,

Prof. Dorothy Nampota
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB)
