Japanese Government MEXT Scholarships (Fully Funded) (Young Leaders’ Program) has launched its application for the 2020-21 academic year. The applications are open for international students interested to pursue Master’s Program in Public Administration/Public Policy, Local Governance, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, and Law from October 2020 in Japan.
The Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) aims to contribute to cultivate future national leaders in Asian and other countries, to contribute to establish the friendly relationships among various countries and to improve policy planning activities by forming a network among national leaders through deepening their understanding of Japan. The YLP is one of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Programs.

The Social Science Research Council calls application for the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship. The SSRC/JSPS Fellowship Program for ABDs and Recent PhDs provides promising and highly qualified researchers with opportunities to conduct research at leading universities and other research institutions in Japan for 1-12 months or 12-24 month terms. Projects need not be explicitly related to the study of Japan but must propose work with colleagues and resources in Japan. The program especially encourages proposals for cooperative research with colleagues in Japan under the guidance of a senior host researcher. The Social Science Research Council serves as the nominating authority for US-based applicants in the social sciences and humanities only. Researchers in the field of medicine or natural sciences should contact the Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health.

Eligibility for Fully Funded Japan Scholarships
Candidates must meet the following requirements
- It aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries* to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region.
- Also, upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.
- Likewise, the ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in participating academic institutions located in 10 countries within the region.
- Also, the ADB-JSP provides full scholarships for one to two years.
- Additionally, applicants from graduated member countries, i.e., Hong Kong, China, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Taipei, China, as defined under the Classification and Graduation Policy, are no longer eligible for ADB-JSP.
