With is growing number, the Nigerian youth tend to turn toward any form (Legal/Illegal) of making money. With the great technological change across the world with Nigeria at the consuming end, we now have access to job vacancies online, in some cases, you can even have your interview via Skype.
A particular Job opportunity caught his attention when his brother sent a website(https://ng.susdevi.org) for him to verify its authenticity, Sustainable Development International-SUSDEVI a website with massive employment opportunity have caught the eyes of thousands.
Wilson told his brother ;
1. The website (https://ng.susdevi.org) does not categorically specify what it does but only jumps on the sustainable development goals (SDGs), which is a global trend.
2. The mission and the vision of SUSDEVI are not stated on any part of the website.
3. SUSDEVI does not have any online track record of executing any project/programme or collaborations with any known organization.
4. The employment deadline is always pushed.
5. No single picture or member of the organization is displayed across all platform (Facebook, Instagram, twitter and youtube)
6. All of their social media account reads Lami Pamaren
7. So far the platform has gained thousand of followership;
Youtube -13,801 subscribers
Facebook -32,203 Followers
Instagram -25,300 Followers
LinkedIn -11,444 Followers
In his conclusion, this supposed job opportunity is an avenue created to get massive active followership across all social media platform and high traffic on the acclaimed susdevi website, remember all this when monetized is a great amount.
I went further,looking for answers and came across many Nigerian youths already calling the recruitment a scam.
A dude on twitter named Obinna 🇳🇬@TheRichesse has this to say about susdevi been a scam;
The fake website is so dumb for an international website. An NGO that claims to be funded by donor agencies did not mention any agency and there are no pictures, no mission statement, no vision statement. Just listed 15 SGDs goals in their about page.
The address on their contact us page is fake. I checked the US address and it's poping up in Ireland. There is no registered SUSDEVI location in that office address as seen in the picture.
Also how can they not have an email??? SCAM!
They advice all applicants to follow all their social media handles. And all their SM handles have Lami Pamaren (sole ghost recruiter) as the name, except LinkedIn that has SUSDEVI.
How can an international NGO that claim to have been doing projects have their Social Media handles all opened on the 30th Nov 2018 just for the sole purpose of this mass scam recruit? Twitter, Facebook, Instagram all bear Lami Pamaren and were opened on 30th Nov 2018.
Try chatting them up on any of their Social Media handles, you'll observe they will never reply you. They only make posts that are related to their recruitment exercises.
Their LinkedIn page has 33 fake workers, how can all 33 members that work at SUSDEVI have SUSDEVI as their first working experience. They all have scanty profiles, all pointing you to their website.
The online test that is on-going is at (link: http://globstand.com) globstand.com - another dumb website they created for the same recruitment purpose. Their facebook page was also opened on 30th Nov 2018.
When you DM their facebook page with your email and full name they reply with this format
"Welcome, (your fb first name) we are happy to have you onboard.
The test is available at (link: https://www.globstand.com/susdevi-ng/) globstand.com/susdevi-ng/
All the bestdumb.
It's funny because when you try registering with a fake email, and details you will still be directed to their online test page, just as seen in the pic. So dumb.
We are in a data driven age, data is the new gold. The amount of money they would make if they gather all these data and sell it, would be mad. The traffic alone to their site is massive.
Going further to find more proof,i came across the website of The Nigerian SGDs which has also warned the masses about the recruitment on their website. Read the statement below
Sustainable Development Goals: Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President.
It has come to the notice of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, (OSSAP-SDGs) that some SDGs related job recruitment advertisements are currently being circulated in the social media.
Preliminary investigations by the Office has revealed that the adverts are carefully designed schemes to lure unsuspecting job seekers to apply for non-existing jobs and training programmes, while extorting money from them and hacking into their emails.
For the record, the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, (OSSAP-SDGs) and the United Nations Agencies in Nigeria are currently not recruiting for any job position via any online platform and has no affiliation whatsoever with any Organization currently carrying out any activity of such.
The office hereby wishes to advice the general public to disregard such advertisements.
