The attention of the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission has been drawn to a scam by some fraudsters aimed at extorting money from unsuspecting candidates who participated in the last written interview into the State Civil Service.
These fraudsters have either sent text messages or directly called candidates and/or their parents and guardians demanding for various sums of money, with a view to assisting them to obtain high scores in the written interview.
This notice therefore serves as an advice to ignore such messages and telephone calls as the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission has not mandated any person or group of persons to act on its behalf.
While advising candidates and their parents or guardians to ignore these scammers, we are appealing to all concerned to make a report to the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission or directly to the Security Agencies for necessary action.
Meanwhile, we want to assure all candidates who participated in the written interview that the entire process for recruitment of the approved one thousand (1,000) slots will be handled transparently and in line with the established due process for appointment into the Civil Service.
Dr. Peter F. Singabele, mni
Chairman,
Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission.
