Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Tennessee

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in Dr. Lu Lu laboratory, Department of Genetics, Genomics and Informatics, The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Lu is seeking a genetic biologist to work on discovering novel molecular targets in complex traits and polygenetic diseases via genetics and bioinformatics methods.

Position Summary

The successful candidate on this Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Tennessee will work in collaboration with some of the leading academic investigators in mouse genetics worldwide to systematically analyze and integrate sources of phenotypes, genetic and epigenetic variation, and gene expression variability in complex traits and diseases.

Criteria

  • Ph.D. in Statistics, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
  • Applicants with knowledge of commonly used bioinformatics tools and public databases preferred.
  • Experience working with different types of high throughput data such as microarray, RNA-seq, DNA-seq, ChIP-seq; first (or co-first) author of one or more peer-reviewed scientific publications.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
