NABCO : Secretariat urges beneficiaries to remain calm

Beneficiaries of the Ghana Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) have been urged to calm down for the government to take realistic steps to address challenges facing the implementation of the programme.

According to Mr Seth Cudjo, the Sunyani Municipal Director of NABCo, the programmes was introduced as a means to curb high unemployment and enhance the socio-economic livelihoods of the people.


In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani following over delays and non-payments of allowances for some beneficiaries, Mr Cudjo said though the implementation of the programme had experienced some challenges, payment of allowances and arrears of all beneficiaries would be effected very soon.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government is committed to solving graduate unemployment by putting in place realistic social intervention porgrammes for the betterment of the nation.

Mr Cudjoe explained that the NABCo secretariat had finalised processes, saying applicants who had not yet received postings would soon be posted to their various institutions.

He said out of the 1,862 qualified applicants in the municipality, only 123 of them were yet to be posted adding that the secretariat was about to pay the allowances of 269 beneficiaries in the Municipality.

Management is working around the clock to rectify all anomalies and effect payment of allowances including arrears.
