 TRAINING FUND (ITF) INITIATE TRAINING PROGRAMMES FOR 300 BAYELSANS.

The management of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Commissioner for Labour, Employment and Productivity, Chief Collins Cocodia in his office in Yenagoa.

The ITF team was led by the (Area Manager) Mr. Kolawole Samson, commends the commissioner for being very proactive and versatile with ideas on human productivity and empowerment. Noting that ITF will make valuable contribution by initiating programmes in collaboration with the state government to positively engage bayelsans to become self-reliant and productive.

In this regard the ITF proposes a training programme for 300 Bayelsans in various trade areas which include Catering and Events Management, Aluminum Fabrication and Plasters of Paris (PoP) Ceiling training will be for three  months.

The ITF also hinted on the training of Physically Challenged persons  in its "Step C" initiative.  The training programme will involve 20 trainees and is expected to last for a duration of two months. The ITF training for the physically challenged persons includes Shoe Making and Ladies Wig.
The training programme will commence on the 1st of August, 2018.The training programme for the physical  challenged persons will be done only in 4 States which Bayelsa State is included as a result of the advocacy tour of the Hon. Commissioner for Labour, Employment and Productivity to Abuja recently.

The Hon. Commissioner, Chief Collins B. Cocodia on behalf of the State government appreciates the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) for the laudable initiatives. He noted that the state government will do everything possible to ensure the success of the programmes.
