Ten winners have emerged from the #MyYumMealChallenge, organised by the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) in partnership with AgroNigeria, the Voice of Nigeria’s Agriculture to celebrate the International School Meal Day on the 15th of March.
Contestants were invited to post a picture of cost-effective nutritious local meals they enjoyed while growing up to the NHGSFP social media channels over a 3-day period from the 12th to the 15th of March in a contest where the best would get a prize from the NHGSFP.
Announcing the winners through its Twitter handle, Friday, the NHGSFP named Folaranmi Folayan, Clara Ngozi, Auwal Musa, Praizez Akb, Israel, Ade Benedict, Zainab Ismaeel, Abdulrauf Musa, Onyinye Gift Udemba, and Bobby as winners.
“Winners are required to send their account details, phone number and email address to our Twitter Message Box,” the tweet read in part.
While commending AgroNigeria for the partnership and everyone who took part in the challenge, the NHGSFP noted that it had to embark on a rigorous process of selecting the eventual winners.
Congratulating the winners in a message posted on its official Twitter handle, AgroNigeria expressed joy that the partnership was yielding tremendous results.
“We congratulate all the #MyYumMealChallenge Winners. More importantly, We are proud of Our partnership with @NHGSFP and all the Men and Women working hard to ensure that primary school children in Nigeria are provided nutritious meals at school,” the media outfit stated in a tweet.
The National Home Grown School Feeding Programme is a Federal Government-funded scheme under which government provides a meal once a day to school pupils. AgroNigeria has been working with the NHGSFP to connect and solidify its linkage to the agricultural production framework – for greater impact.
