The NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Intern, Environment and Climate Change Programme

Required Skills and Competencies:

Demonstrated commitment to African development (field experience on the continent and/or in other developing countries is an added advantage).
Good knowledge of MS-Office suite.
Citizen of an AU member country or an African in the Diaspora.
High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm, commitment and energetic.
Maintain confidentiality at the highest level at all times.
Possess good analytical and excellent interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English; knowledge of French will be considered as an asset.

Education and Experience:

Candidates should possess a minimum of Bachelor degree (Hons) from a recognized University in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Policy, Rural Development, Development Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Environmental Governance or any other relevant field, while current enrolment or the completion of a post-graduate degree will be an added advantage.
Candidates must have at least two (2) years post-university experience.

Remuneration: In line with the NEPAD Young Professionals Programme (YPP), the remuneration is in form of a stipend / basic allowance.
