APPPLY FOR NITDA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME 2016/2017 ​(Sokoto State Indigenes only)


The National Information Technology Development Agency(NITDA) wishes to notify the general public that it has concluded the 2016/17 Scholarship process, but Sokoto state was not represented. The Agency is hereby calling for interested candidates from Sokoto State only to apply.  This is to fill in the Sokoto state slot for the year 2016/2017 because the scheme is equally distributed between the 36 States and FCT.



The Agency has as its mandate to develop and regulate Information Technology in Nigeria. Developing and regulating IT will support in transforming Nigeria into an IT driven economy for global competiveness.

The Agency has since 2010 established a scholarship scheme for Master's and Doctoral Degree in relevant areas of Information Technology (IT) and ICT Law obtainable in Universities in Nigeria.


Minimum requirement.

MSC: Holders of First Class or Second Class (Upper) Honours Bachelor’s degree, (B.Sc) in Information Technology related fields and Law.

Criteria:
The scholarship award is strictly based on merit

Duration:
The Masters programme will run for 12 – 18 months.

All eligible candidates that are interested should log on to scholarship.nitda.gov.ng to register. The registration period is for one (1) week only from the date of this notice.

A comprehensive Aptitude test will be conducted to determine successful candidates for the award. Only candidates found eligible will be invited. Furthermore, there will be interview (which includes supplementary test, verification of credentials & character evaluation) for best performing candidates.
