N1,000,000 ENTREPRENEURSHIP/BUSINESS EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To empower between 300 to 500 youths of the 5 South Eastern States.

To Provide business training for up to 1000 youths from the 5 south eastern states aspiring to be entrepreneurs;

To encourage expansion, specialization and spin-offs of existing and virgin businesses in the 5 South Eastern States and Nigeria at large;

To provide stage by stage Equity grant for 200 and above selected aspiring entrepreneurs for each season to start or expand their business concepts and mitigate start up risks; and,

To boost economic developments of the States and foster economic empowerment of most families;

CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION
Applicants should posses a valid means of identification (eg. Voters Card, National ID)
You must have a good business idea that can create jobs and employments
You must be from any of the 5 Eastern States, aged between 18 - 45 years .

SCREENING/CLEARANCE/APPLY
The selection of qualified and eligible applications by the URT TEAM
The selected applicants will complete their clearance prior to the final empowerment of the winners
Application into the empowerment is free. After the closing of application portal, the final list of applicants into the final stage of the empowerment will proceed to complete their CLEARANCE/REGISTRATION into the empowerment which is N2000. From the list of CLEARED applications the TEAM will then proceed to select the Winners to be empowered with one million naira (N1,000,000) each.

Application is open into the 2017 Young Enterprising Minds With Innovation entrepreneurship empowerment project. Entries starts March 1st 2017 and closes June 30th 2017. Applications will be received from the 36 states from eligible applicants (see criteria for Eligibility) Young Enterprising Minds With Innovation Local Government Co-ordinators should submit their profile details through the Co-ordinators page, for verification and accreditation.
